Since November 12th, 2009, further 2 stress grading solutions of Microtec have been officially accredited by ALSC (the American Lumber Standard Committee). Starting immediately Microtec can offer its worldwide-acknowledged laser interferometer solutions, Viscan and Viscan Plus, for accurate MOE/MOR determination. Goldeneye 702 and Goldeneye 706 already received the required accreditation a few years ago. Thanks to the additional accreditation, valid on the entire North American market, it is now possible to provide the most advanced MOE/MOR determination suite to one of the most important markets.
The accredited Microtec solutions for MOE/MOR determination are:
No 11 Goldeneye 702
No 19 Goldeneye 706
No 23 Viscan
No 24 Viscan Plus
- Goldeneye 702 – is a Multi-Sensor quality scanner for high-performance quality recognition of lumber and MOE/MOR determination in lineal transport. The advance system combines various color and laser scanners with an X-ray scanner. Goldeneye 702 accurately detects hidden wood defects in lumber and white knots.
- Goldeneye 706 – enhances the Goldeneye 702 systems with Viscan, a laser interferometer solution with a higher correlation for MOE/MOR determination.
- Viscan – is an optical vibration scannerfor MOE/MOR determination. Viscan measures the board’s natural frequencywith a laser at the board’s front side being the only system available that is not influenced by environmental noise. This means Viscan reaches a repeatability and measurement precision of over 99 percent.
- Viscan Plus – is a standalone solution featuring Viscan and Denscan, a density meter. The density information additionally increases the accuracy of MOE/MOR determination.
