AS/NZS 1748 (Timber – Solid – Stress-graded for structural purposes) is the engineering standard for the stress grading of solid timber in Australia/ New Zealand.
The AS/NZS 4490 (Timber – Solid – Stress-graded for structural purposes – Verification of properties) regulates the quality safety of stress graded timber and has been entirely updated compared to the previous version in 1997.
The new engineering standards allow modern, non-destructive grading lines, such as Microtec already produces for many years now.
Therefore, today, Microtec is glad to announce that the stress grading solutions, Viscan, Viscan Compact, Viscan Plus, Goldeneye 702 and Goldeneye 706, already meet the requirements for these new standards.
