Whether in Europe, North America, Asia or New Zealand, Microtec has been setting the standards in the wood industry all over the world since 1980.

For exactly 40 years now, the Brixen-based company has been implementing technologically unique scanner and optimization solutions for its customers in the wood industry.

It all began in a small garage in Brixen, where three young engineers were working on an idea to use digital image processing in industry. With a lot of passion and dedication they worked on it every day to implement innovative and mechanically high-quality solutions.

This is how the worldwide technological leadership could be conquered. Today, after exactly 40 years, the company is about to open its new company building with an area of about 10,000 cubic metres in the Brixen industrial zone.
